The Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) on Wednesday, 4th February, held an engaging seminar on TEBULA: An Emerging Approach To The Treatment Of Skin Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTDs), with a focus on Buruli ulcer.

The seminar was delivered by Prof. Yaw Amoako, who shared key insights into how TEBULA could strengthen Buruli ulcer treatment and improve patient outcomes. He highlighted the growing burden of skin NTDs in endemic communities and emphasized the need for integrated, patient-centered strategies.

Prof. Amoako further explored the role of Telacebec, a promising new treatment option being evaluated through a clinical trial. He explained how this approach could improve treatment outcomes and support more effective public health responses, particularly in resource-limited settings.

The session sparked active discussion among researchers, clinicians, and students, reinforcing KCCR’s commitment to advancing translational research and strengthening collaboration to address critical tropical health challenges.
