The Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) was honored to welcome His Majesty King Mswati III of the Kingdom of Eswatini during his official state visit to Ghana. The visit formed part of a broader engagement to strengthen ties between Eswatini and Ghana, with a focus on science, health, and development.
His Majesty and his delegation were taken on a guided tour of KCCR’s research and diagnostic facilities , including the BSL3 Lab, Extraction Lab and the Sequencing Labs. His Majesty expressed admiration for the center’s efforts in addressing Africa’s public health challenges through science and innovation.



The visit reflects KCCR’s growing role as a hub of scientific excellence on the continent. It also opens the door for future collaborations between institutions in Ghana and Eswatini, aimed at building stronger health systems through research, capacity development, and knowledge sharing.
