On August 8th, 2024, Prof. Alexander Debrah, the Group Head of the Filariasis Group at KCCR, delivered his Professorial Inaugural Lecture titled “Eliminating Filariasis: A New Hope for an Old Battle” at the Great Hall, KNUST. His groundbreaking research offers new hope in the ongoing fight against this challenging disease.

The event was chaired by the Vice-Chancellor of KNUST, with distinguished attendees including the Scientific Director of KCCR, Prof. Richard Phillips, the Head of Labs, Prof. Kaveh, and the Head of Administration, Ingrid Sobel, along with many staff members of KCCR.
