KUMASI TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY STUDENTS VISIT KCCR TO EXPLORE LABORATORY PRACTICES

Students from the BTech Science and Industrial Laboratory Technology program at the Kumasi Technical University visited the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine on Wednesday, 8th April 2026.

The visit was aimed at enhancing students’ understanding of industrial laboratory practices and techniques, health and safety protocols, and ongoing research activities at the Centre. Through interactive sessions and guided engagements, students gained valuable insights into best practices in laboratory operations and the importance of maintaining high standards in scientific research environments.

Participants were introduced to key research areas at KCCR, with opportunities to interact with researchers and technical staff. The visit also provided practical exposure to laboratory workflows, reinforcing their academic training with real-world applications.

The engagement reflects KCCR’s continued commitment to capacity building, knowledge sharing, and training the next generation of laboratory professionals and scientists.
