KCCR’S NEW SCIENTIFIC DIRECTOR HOLDS FIRST STAFF MEETING

The newly appointed Scientific Director of the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR), Professor Alexander Yaw Debrah, held his first official meeting with staff following his assumption of office on 1st August 2026.

The meeting provided an opportunity for Prof. Debrah to introduce his vision for the Centre, engage with staff, and reaffirm KCCR’s commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, collaboration, and impactful research. He encouraged teamwork, open communication, and a shared commitment to strengthening KCCR’s role as a leading biomedical research institution in Ghana and beyond.

Staff warmly welcomed the new Scientific Director and expressed their readiness to work together to advance the Centre’s mission of improving health through high-quality research, capacity building, and strategic partnerships.

The meeting marked the beginning of a new chapter for KCCR, setting the tone for continued growth, collaboration, and excellence under Prof. Debrah’s leadership.
