KCCR HOSTS OKOMFO ANOKYE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS FOR EDUCATIONAL VISIT

The Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) hosted 65 students from Okomfo Anokye Senior High School on Friday, 17th July 2026, as part of its commitment to promoting STEM education and inspiring future scientists.

The students toured KCCR’s research facilities, where they were introduced to ongoing biomedical research, modern laboratory equipment, and practical laboratory techniques used in diagnosing and studying infectious diseases. They also interacted with scientists and researchers, gaining valuable insights into careers in biomedical science and research.

The visit offered students a unique opportunity to bridge classroom learning with real-world scientific practice, fostering curiosity, innovation, and a greater appreciation for biomedical research.
