As a measure to strengthen the capacities to conduct cutting-edge immunological research on site, the KCCR was recently equipped with a modern multicolour Beckman Coulter Cytoflex S flow cytometer, which was funded by the German Centre for Infection Research (DZIF). A workshop was conducted on the 15th of November 2018 for KCCR scientists and students with a background in immunology to introduce them to the function and use of the Cytoflex S. 12 scientists participated in the training which was conducted by Dr Maria Sophia Mackroth and Ms Lea Kaminski from the Bernhard Nocht Institute of Tropical Medicine and the University Hospital in Hamburg.
