BNITM MASTER’S STUDENT PRESENTS WASTEWATER SURVEILLANCE RESEARCH AT KCCR

Elisa Muller, a master’s student from the University of Hamburg affiliated with the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine (BNITM), delivered her final presentation at the Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR), sharing an overview of her master’s research.

Elisa is undertaking her research placement with the One Health Bacteriology Group at KCCR as part of the Wastewater Surveillance Project. During her presentation, she highlighted the objectives of her research and demonstrated how wastewater surveillance data generated at KCCR will contribute to her analysis.

The presentation showcased the important role of KCCR’s wastewater surveillance activities in supporting international research collaborations and emphasized the strength of the long-standing partnership between BNITM and KCCR in advancing One Health research and public health innovation.

KCCR congratulates Elisa on reaching this important milestone and wishes her every success in the completion of her master’s program.
