
One-Week Vaccinology Course on “BRIDGING SCIENCE, PRACTICE AND POLICY FOR BETTER HEALTH OUTCOMES”
The Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR) at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Kumasi, Ghana, in Collaboration with the Bernhard Nocht Institute of Tropical Medicine (BNITM), Hamburg, Germany is organizing a high-visibility, intensive one-week Vaccinology course from the 12 – 15 October 2026 .

Course Aim
To strengthen the bridge between scientific research, clinical practice and health policy and bring researchers, stakeholders and vaccine experts together to create a network within Ghana for scientific exchange.
Sessions will be delivered by experts from participating institutions and guest facilitators.
Details of the Course
The one-week vaccinology course will cover key topics essential for understanding vaccine research and implementation in low-resource settings:
- Basics of Vaccinology & Vaccine Development
- Vaccine Clinical Trials
- Vaccine Effectiveness, Implementation and Public Health Impact
Eligibility Criteria
The course intended for Ghanaian:
- Students in Public Health, Epidemiology, Clinical Trials or related disciplines
- Clinicians and researchers
- Public health and health-sector professionals
- Professionals working in or interested in vaccinology and pharmaceutical sciences
Travel and Subsistence
Travel and subsistence support will be provided to a limited number of selected participants.
