The Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research in Tropical Medicine (KCCR), in collaboration with the Vacation Initiatives in Science Africa (VISA), is set to host Science in Tents 2026, a three-day STEM Fair designed to inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators.

Scheduled to take place from 7th to 10th July 2026, the event will bring together Junior High School (JHS) students from across Kumasi for an exciting and interactive learning experience that promotes Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM).

Science in Tents 2026 will expose students to hands-on scientific activities, interactive demonstrations, laboratory experiences, innovation showcases, and engaging sessions with scientists and STEM professionals. The programme aims to ignite curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and inspire students to pursue careers in science and research.

As a leading biomedical research institution, KCCR is committed to nurturing young talent and strengthening STEM education by providing opportunities for students to interact with researchers and experience science beyond the classroom.

Through this partnership with VISA, KCCR continues to invest in building the next generation of scientists, innovators, and problem-solvers who will contribute to addressing Ghana’s and Africa’s future health and development challenges.

We look forward to welcoming participating schools to an exciting and impactful Science in Tents 2026.
