Biography
Isaac Acheampong is a doctoral candidate at the Kumasi Centre for collaborative research in tropical medicine. He holds a master’s degree in Immunology and a bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory technology from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. He has more than a decade of clinical laboratory expertise in both primary and tertiary healthcare laboratories, as well as over 4 years of clinical research experience. He has served in a variety of leadership roles in his professional association.
His current PhD work focuses on the immune biomarkers of active disease and treatment response in tuberculosis supported by the MaP-TB Study and funded by the German-African Cooperation in infectology. Over the period of his relatively brief research career, he has 4 research publications in peer-reviewed journals (https://www.researchgate.net/profile/Isaac-Acheampong-2) in addition to numerous poster presentations at international conferences.
